Industrial Use And Daily Use Of Molecular Sieve 3A
Feb 28, 2023
Molecular sieve 3A is a type of synthetic zeolite, which is a porous material with a regular crystal structure. It has a pore size of approximately 3 angstroms (0.3 nanometers), which makes it effective at adsorbing molecules with a diameter of less than 3 angstroms, such as water, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide.
Molecular sieve 3A is commonly used in gas drying and purification applications, as it is able to selectively adsorb water molecules from gas streams while allowing other gases to pass through. It is also used in the production of oxygen and nitrogen gases, as well as in the refining of petroleum and petrochemicals.
In addition to its use in industrial applications, molecular sieve 3A is also used in some consumer products, such as desiccant packets and air purifiers, to remove moisture and other impurities from the air.
